SafeCare Quality Workshops Expand to Dire Dawa and Harari.

In a significant step toward elevating national healthcare standards, a series of SafeCare quality improvement sensitization workshops were successfully conducted on July 11 and July 13, 2026 respectively, across the Harari Regional State and the Dire Dawa City Administration, engaging leaders from private hospitals and specialty health centers.
Organized in strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Harari Regional Health Bureau, and the Dire Dawa City Administration Health Bureau, the sessions attracted hospital CEOs, facility owners, and quality assurance leaders. The initiative focused on equipping private healthcare providers with the frameworks needed to build safer, more resilient organizations.
With patient expectations rising and regulatory standards evolving, the workshops underscored that healthcare quality is no longer viewed simply as a baseline compliance measure. Instead, industry stakeholders increasingly recognize it as a strategic investment essential for increasing public trust, preparing facilities for formal accreditation, optimizing operational performance, and driving long-term sustainability.
Leadership figures from both regions demonstrated a strong commitment during the sessions, with numerous facilities officially initiating their SafeCare journey. By implementing continuous quality improvement, these centers aim to refine patient experiences and elevate clinical delivery standards.
Organizers extended their appreciation to the Harari Regional Health Bureau and the Dire Dawa City Administration Health Bureau, whose leadership and coordination were instrumental in the successful execution of the workshops. As participation in the national movement grows, these regional launches mark a pivotal milestone in cultivating a safer, higher-quality healthcare landscape across Ethiopia.
