Mid-term evaluation
USAID/ Management Sciences for Health, Inc. (MSH), Ethiopia; Heal TB mid-term evaluation (June 2014 - September 2014):
USAID-funded, HEAL-TB was a comprehensive support program for directly observed treatment, short-course (DOTS), and its integral components of strengthening referral linkage to communities, enhancing tuberculosis (TB) collaborative activities, strengthening programmatic management of drug-resistant TB (PMDT), and strengthening health systems in Ethiopia. HEAL-TB support covered 21 zones in Amhara and Oromia regions – reaching 40 million people. ABH conducted a mid-term performance evaluation of HEAL-TB and provided an independent assessment of the overall performance of the project. The evaluation determined the achievement and challenges faced during HEAL-TB implementation. The evaluation findings assisted MSH in improving the management of the project during its remaining period.
