With the government and development stakeholders, ABH has designed, implemented, monitored and evaluated programmes/projects related to health and nutrition, health systems strengthening, health literacy and community health up to household level. In health sector, ABH’s portfolio comprises of both demand generation and service delivery support including working with Primary Health Care Units, Regional, Zonal and Woreda Health Bureaus to augment their healthcare delivery capacities and; with communities to empower them to demand quality health care. ABH has been supporting healthcare service providers in improving quality, and increasing health systems responsiveness through leadership, management and governance capacity building, supply chain management, human resources/workforce management etc. ABH has networks and capacities as well as experience to engage with CSO, NGOs, communities and the private sector to strengthen health care system.
Wholly owned by Ethiopian nationals, ABH Partners has a registered, well-resourced office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We have been working in Ethiopia since 2007, and understand the country and contexts. Thus far, we have delivered over 107 projects in health, nutrition and social development sectors for multiple clients including Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), UN agencies like UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, WFP, WHO etc.
Based on its past work experience, ABH has excellent professional relations with stakeholders and development partners including Federal Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, USAID, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UN WOMEN, the World Bank and others.
ABH has an internal team of skilled national and international experts in the sectors of health, nutrition, social and gender issues, advocacy, social mobilization, private sector engagement, capacity building etc.
ABH offers modern in-house logistical support and infrastructure facilities to successfully implement medium and large sized projects across Ethiopia. Our infrastructure includes a centrally located, seven floor office in Addis Ababa, with all facilities; a fleet of all-terrain field vehicles with built in GPS devices; state of the art data collection devices connected to four in-house servers for country-wide data generation; digital library equipped with computers and a data processing computer lab etc. ABH has over 70 full time staff working on various projects in different locations in all regions and administrative cities of Ethiopia. We have a database of over 500 experts in the domain of public health, social development etc. – both national and international – who could be called upon, quickly, depending on specific needs of assignments.
